Containing group: Miscellaneous salticids with a fixed embolus

Introduction

Strange elongate salticids of the southwest U.S.A. and Mexico, with very swollen first legs. Two described species, formerly considered synonyms and belonging within Pseudicius, neither of which is valid. On tree bark on the arid southwest, especially on mesquite.
